Here is our "Block of the Month" for next month and some of the members that finished last months block.
There was no program for September, so I thought I would share some of the "Sew and Tell".
Sandy teaching her granddaughter to quilt. Her 16 year old granddaughter entered this gorgeous quilt in 2 local fairs and in the MN State Fair. Every quilt has a story.Rachel made this wonderful quilt for her "single" brother. He was told that if he didn't have a girlfriend by the time of the quilt show, she would ask for it back and put a sign on it that said, "single guy looking for a girlfriend." She was just kidding. Every quilt has a story.
Peggy recreated this pictorial quilt from a photo. The detail on this quilt is amazing. Every quilt has a story.
Connie received this box that was a donation to a local church. Inside the box was a pattern from the early 1930's, the templates, and the finished fan blocks. She pieced them together on this great yellow fabric to make this beautiful quilt. This quilt top will be hand quilted and donated to the Green Lake Quilt Auction. Every quilt has a story.
These were just a few of the stories that were shared tonight at "Sew and Tell". Hope you come see these wonderful quilts at our "Quilting by the Lakes" quilt show this weekend.
